The Techvaganza– the annual Techno-Cultural fiesta is generally organized in the month of Aug every year in the Kashmir Valley. With over 90 events ranging from robonoids, techphoria, creatives, pre-cipher, autodrift, funtoosh, cultural to amazing exhibitions, lecture-series, Techvaganza is widely considered as the best platform for budding creators of tomorrow to understand what the world needs. Techvaganza standing as the formative pedestal is scheduled from 23rd to 25thAug’13.
Gearing up its position on the roots of its previous pioneering position, it is consistently getting participation from about 900 institutions including both engineering colleges & universities from the various corners of India. Techvaganza is destined to be a monument in the history of college fests for all posterity.

Techvaganza’13 has a reputation of nurturing the most competitive and eye catching events to capture the talent and forthcoming engineers. It brings amongst the participants a sense of profundity, inquisitiveness, professionalism and general proficiency.
Techvaganza’13 in its ceaseless endeavour to encourage Engineering Excellence brings out the best from national cream of technical talent. Techvaganza’13 is the annual National Level Technical Festival of National Institute Technology Srinagar. The festival has attained a pioneering position in the region through continuous innovation in its organization and consistent participation of a number of institutions from the various corners of India.
It is our endeavour to give students innovation a chance to explore new horizons in the technical field, so various technical events are organized follows as:
ROBOTICS:It includes building an autonomous micro-mouse, battle between robots, shooting the colour changing grids using skills of programming and rotational mechanics, etc.
AERO MODELLING: Competition which will test your knack for making remote controlled aircraft.
MAD 4 CAD:Design and shape the world around you with the powerful features in AutoCAD.
SHOTCIRCUIT:This event will test the speed and the accuracy related to the circuits.
VIKINGS: Make a wireless or wired remote controlled Boat, powered by a motor which can race against other opponents on a water track.
GO FIX IT: Computer Troubleshooting and Testing Core Computer handling skills of participants.

Techvaganza 2k13 also includes many fun events like treasure hunt, photography, etc.
TREKSTASY will give you a chance to live all those moments that you would have ever dreamt of in the form of TREKKING. Right amidst unmatchable wildlife, exquisite Plant life and serene Kashmir valley, you get to live some beautiful moments. The route comprises of rocky edges, cliffs, river crossings, waterfalls, riverine valleys and much more.
It is ‘WE’ through which a society is formed & comes out. Thus, together ‘WE’ can make a beautiful and better society.

An NIT Srinagar initiative, SAY (Social Awareness and Youth) under Techvaganza 2k13 is a voluntary association of young and enthusiastic people working for campus community linkage. The pivotal principle of SAY program is that it is organized by the students themselves to bring together enthusiasts, professionals, students and others creating high energy participatory forums to address social problems getting a sense of involvement in the task of nation building.
The idea of social services considered as a pre-requisite for graduation, hence SAY intends to formulate a suitable scheme for the introduction of national service into our academic institution.
Taking a step forward though small, we have decided to channelize our energies on the following issues:
- Women Empowerment (Tehreek-e-Niswan).
- Black Bear and Human Conflicts (Innocent Wilderness).
- Increasing Competitive Spirit among Valley Students (Pitaara-e-Ilmaat).
