Manchester United have hired one of Japan’s most famous landmarks to unveil their latest away kit later today.
The Barclays Premier League champions unveiled the new strip at Osaka Castle, an ancient monument that is almost 450 years old.
The castle played a major role in the unification of Japan in the 16th century but will today form the backdrop for United’s latest kit launch in conjunction with sportswear giant Nike.
The new away shirt has a large black and midnight navy gingham checks and the badge and sponsors are in white.
‘I’ve got older as well and am starting to know more about the club. I’ve just joined up on tour after being injured and I’m delighted to be out here.
‘I think I’ve changed in those two years. I’ve grown more and the more you grow, your ability grows at a club like United.’
