The iPad is by far the most recognizable and most popular tablet on the market right now and Apple is very happy to keep releasing new models to keep sales up. The pictures are from the same French blog that brought allegedly leaked photos of the next iPhone. Read this blog post by Roger Cheng on Apple. This time however it looks like Apple might be doing something a little different as they appear to be working on a new iPad model that is actually a little bit smaller than the previous iPad generations.

Specifications of iPad Mini :

This so called iPad Mini has been a rumor for quite some time but now it appears that it might actually be real. A couple different photos have been spotted online indicating that a mini version of the iPad is in bound and in a matter of weeks or months we might find out for sure if this is true or not. The iPad Mini appears to be around 7 or 8 inches, which makes it a little bit bigger than the average 7” tablet but a noticeable amount smaller than the current iPad generations. The biggest draw to these smaller tablets is portability and so far most of the popular offerings have been doing very well with 7 inch displays.

The pictures don’t reveal much else about the iPad Mini though, which is unfortunately. Most rumors seem to indicate that the iPad Mini will likely be released sometime this fall if it is in fact going to be available. It is also expected to have around the same amount of processing power as other current iPads that are available right now.

As for the source of the pictures, nobody is really quite sure where they came from. The pictures were reportedly leaked from a Chinese manufacturer which would likely be responsible for actually producing much of the iPad. Unfortunately it is impossible to confirm this but things look pretty promising at this point. Hopefully in the next month or two Apple will give us some official information about this iPad Mini as it might just be the next popular gadget to sell out worldwide.
